AOCA Convention Committee



The Convention Committee provides guidance and recommendations to the AOCA Board of Directors to ensure the relevance and value of the AOCA Convention and Fast Lube Expo.

Specifically, the Convention Committee will:
  1. Provide ideas on how to continually improve the value of the exhibition.
  2. Create a mechanism for constructive feedback from attendees and exhibitors.
  3. Provide guidance for marketing/messaging and promotion of the event.
  4. Consult with education committee on development of educational portion of the event.
  5. Be chief advocates for the event.
  6. Search for, and forward, when appropriate, opportunities to partner with other organizations or entities to improve the event.
The following are a number of potential activities the Convention Committee:
  • Design and develop a competition style event to be held during the event, possibly on the show floor. Discuss a demonstration style event to launch concept in 2009.
  • Design and develop a product or new product showcase. Options include a competition, a physical showcase of products, printed materials and web resources.
  • Explore trends in attendee and exhibit enhancement to increase value.
  • Explore partnership opportunities that could include co-locations, and expanded market outreach.
  • Explore how use of multi-media and web technologies could add value to the event.
