AOCA Industry Relations Committee
The Industry Relations Committee provides guidance and recommendations to the AOCA Board of Directors on programs, issues and information that help create effective, mutually beneficial relationships and information-sharing with vital identified industries, such as OEMs, Oil/Lubricants, etc., that service AOCA members and the industry.
Specifically, the Industry Relations Committee will:
- Develop initiatives that create, further and enhance relationships with identified industries and any respective trade or professional organizations.
- Produce information about identified industries' trends, tips and services that educate AOCA members to enhance their service to the driving public.
- Educate identified industries about the importance of the fast lube industry and AOCA members to the automotive service and maintenance business and the driving public.
- Work to establish timely service information, where applicable, from identified industries.
- Develop and enhance programs and campaigns that ensure identified industries recognize the value of AOCA and its benefits.
- Incorporate indentified industries into AOCA to the greatest extent possible.
The following are a number of potential activities for the Industry Relations Committee:
- Indentify and prioritize industries, such as OEMs, Oil/Lubricants, to begin outreach process.
- Develop information campaigns and resources for members regarding indentified industries' topics and trends.
- Work to ensure AOCA has open communication and enhanced relationships with identified industries.
- Work to ensure identified industries understand the role and importance of AOCA members in the supply chain to consumers and in the case of OEMs specifically, the importance of members in helping protect their brand loyalty.
- Work to ensure identified industries understand the value of AOCA and its services, such as the Expo and education courses.
